Mission Statement
The Pacific Northwest African American Quilters Association is dedicated to the preservation and sharing of the evolution of African American quilting.
Goals and Objectives
To nurture the individual and collective creativity of our members through
the provision of a supportive and caring environment
To promote the cultural heritage of African American quilting through the process of education
To "give back" (provide services to the larger intergenerational African American community)
Some of the ways that we have identified that these goals can be actualized
are through: Monthly meetings, Annual Spring/Fall retreats, group projects, classes, workshops, exhibits, history documentation, charity quilts, and active membership in community associations and other groups.
Meetings
Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of the month.
